A history of impact and outreach
The Beginning: Augusta Roots
Our journey began in 2020, right in the heart of Augusta, GA. Seeing the educational disparities exacerbated by the global pandemic, Willie Hampton gathered a small group of volunteers to deliver books and tablets to children who couldn't access remote learning. This small act of kindness laid the foundation for 2 BE 1 OUTREACH INC.
Expanding Horizons: Regional Outreach
By 2022, our programs expanded beyond local neighborhoods. We initiated our first regional outreach journey, visiting rural communities across Georgia to establish mobile libraries. These trips allowed us to reach over 1,000 students who previously had no access to extracurricular educational resources.
Specialized Support: The San Jose Initiative
In 2024, we launched our specialized support program for children with disabilities. Our journey to San Jose became a cornerstone of this initiative, where we partnered with local centers to provide adaptive learning technologies. This journey proved that with the right tools, every child can achieve academic success.
Looking Forward: A Sustainable Future
Today, our journey continues with a focus on long-term sustainability. We are building permanent learning centers and establishing endowment funds to ensure that our outreach remains a constant source of hope for the children of North America. Our history is just the beginning of a much larger story of empowerment.
